Letters from our guests
Hello, Carol (and Ed),
Well, I have been home from my trip for a few days now - still haven't done
the laundry or cleaned the house yet, though! Trying to enjoy the rest of
my summer for as long as I can...only three weeks left for me!
It was so nice to meet you and your "extended" family there in Florida. I
am terribly sorry to say, however, that I CANNOT for the life of me remember
the names of your darling baby, pretty stepdaughter, OR invaluable
babysitter and I was never OFFICIALLY introduced to your great "sous chef",
but please be sure and let them ALL know I was tickled to meet them.
I wanted to tell you how much I enjoyed my stay at Whitcomb Summit. I even
loved the place before I ever saw it or got there in person...just the fact
that I was able to get a room on fairly short notice and at such an
affordable rate, and in a perfect location for my itinerary in North Adams,
was awesome.
You were most helpful in more ways than one...from your constant providing
of directions (for one who is so geographically-challenged!) to your perfect
solutions to my growling stomach! You were ALWAYS cheerful and would take
the time to chat NO matter the situation...always very accommodating.
I had a somewhat weird schedule during my stay and spent most mornings
sleeping in and then staying out late after my son's Steeplecats baseball
games. As a result, after just one morning, the "housekeeping" staff quickly
realized my routine and adapted accordingly - allowing me quiet and
undisturbed mornings before coming in to "freshen" my room.
It was such a seemingly remote spot, but amazingly convenient to "town".
Beautiful scenery (complete with own "lookout tower"), quaint layout of
cabins (or choice of motel accommodations), "private" swimming pool, and
on-site indoor/outdoor home-cooked dining complete a TOTAL package! What
more could a visitor/vacationer need/want?
You guys "dun" good! Many gracious thanks. I wish you the best of success
and look forward to my NEXT visit!!
Cheers, CCW (Cheryl C. Walton, Santa Cruz, CA)
Just a note to say we enjoyed lunch at your cafe. We spoke with Ed briefly about our trip. We were up from Naugatuck, CT.
Dear Carol-
Thank you so much for sharing your beautiful view & comfortable room with the Williamstown Board of Trade.
I enjoyed playing with your dog and I hope he finds a new stick.
Good luck for your business and more importantly on your health.
